Did a logo for MaMa Coach for/through an agency (the client Mamacoach wanted it low-budget, so the agency came to me).

Posted Image

Mamacoach is a company that wants to teach mothers how to combine a (fulltime) job and having children but also make them aware that it can be done. They focus on mothers who work in large companies. Like business-women.

The client still has to choose between the two logo's: the first one is a woman who has found the balance and keeps it easily. The second has found it to, but by putting the legs like this she's more powerfull.

Tell me what u guys think!

I like the first one too. But did you try using the same ("coach") font for "mama" keeping different colors?

I disagree; I like the second one better. The top one looks like she has it all balanced, but precariously...on a point. Her stance in the lower version conveys a sense of confidence and strength.

I agree that the top is cleaner. I also agree that the font should be the same with both words.

I like the assertive design best but I wonder if the hair should flow left to right to follow the visual intesity from light to dark. To me, it also speaks of the "heavier" focus still being on the family while balancing the two.

I know this is prob. a late reply...but looking at the logo and the name of the client, I wouldn't separate the words Mama and Coach. I would remove the legs and butt together the separated words but keep the separate colors and fonts. The reason for the different colors and fonts is that if you create a black/white version of this logo, you will lose the emphasis of the contrast between Mama and Coach if the fonts are the same. Overall, it looks fantastic and I love the simplified concept!
