I happened to see some of the designers submitting entries in RGB format.

Hi resurepus,
Maybe I accept.
My concern is that colour might change while printing in CMYK format.
Or is there any other way of exactly converting files from RGB to CMYK?
I am not a computer Genius.... maybe little bit of creative person.
That is why I am asking.

You should not have that much of a drastic change in colors when switching over form RGB or CMYK formats. If you do then you need to change/ set your calibration for all your applications that your using. In adobe you can set your calibration setting to default so everytime you open a new doc it will be in that gamut. If you require a specific color then you need to be designing in PMS / Spot Colors which is the universal standard for color specing.
You can find the pms charts on the web or in most art programs. Adobe go to window swatch libraries and choose form the pop up list your gamut.
Hope this helps
