I missed you. I like your submission. The second one kindof reminds me of that movie "The Abyss". I am picturing an animated screensaver with the logo sortof rising out of the deep. The dark blue makes a great contrast to the glaring white of the logo. Can you sharpen up the edges of the logo? Or soften them more? I am thinking about making the blue environment affect the logo a bit, if you know what I mean?
I don't know if I know what I mean.

i recreated the focal point .. the darker edges and the brighter center seems to gravitate your eyeyes to the middle ..also the new font doesn't distract you as much

It can be upgraded to an animated one easily too.

Maybe it's just me. It does look good though and I can just imagine what the animated one would look like.
I would think you will get some comments on where the logo should be located on the map
