Whith adobe illustrator you can get better results, but is a litle conplicated to learn how to do somethings, especial effects and so.
you can also use corel, this is easier to use, but you cant get a professional result. there is some people that gets really cool results in corel, but if you see the "Art" you can make in Adobe illustrator you will prefer Illustrator.
with illustrator:

you decide what is better for you Illustrator or corel.
i also recomends you the lastest versions Ai CS5, Corel x4 or x5 (i dont know if there is a newer version)

Corel Draw is an easy to learn, easy to use tool but with somewhat limited capabilities and you'll realise that as soon as you get familiar with it. Taking in account that time is one thing you need to take advantage of, this program wont get you frustrated with pointless clicks.
Adobe Illustrator is a power tool as i like to call it, not verry easy to master, but with endless capabilities tho sometimes it will get on you'r nerves for overly complicated commands. (a little shortcut editing might do the trick)
So the best program will be probably a combination of these two ... unfortunately.
Make you'r designs in corel then export in .eps (encapsulated postscript) format. Adobe Illustrator can import .eps files and easily you can save it in .ai and vice versa.
Quote from knowledgebase "As a general rule, you’ll need to send the original vector files in .eps format, as well as a high resolution jpeg and/or PDF file."

I also have a Corel ,and it's esy to use,but the official canvas files are as ai./Illustrator/.How can i use Corel in this case???

Hello,
I am having trouble choosing a logo maker and so it would be really helpful to me if you could tell me which ones you use. Can you please help me choose a logo maker?
Illustrator is prolly best, but others can be helpful too, as for me, who is on a budget, i just use photoshop, and combine tools from Microsoft word as well, which can be really helpful, because they have the insert shapes, and clipart,
