Black and white photography is the oldest photography form .Black and white photos have their own dramatic style. This kind of photography can be used to maximise the impact of shapes, tones and textures. Some cameras have the option black and white, however it is always better to shoot in color, and later on convert it to monochrome using any photo editing program. This gives more image control. Using RAW format and working on a 16-bit or higher mode maximum flexibility.

Some mobile phones cameras have option black and white, but if you look on monitor PC, thats images are not good, if they are export from old mobile phones. The new touch screen mobile phones are so good, example Sony Ericsson U Satio can reproduct the images in black and white with no craisy pixels, but I prefer to work in Photoshop for the best high contrast to Image-Mode-Black and White and Hue Saturation too.
