I have an old G4 Mac, do you all think it is worth it to upgrade or should I just buy a new one?

Depends on what you have in it and what you can put in it.

What processor do you have?
How much ram do you have?
What is the max ram/slots for that system?
Your system is from before year 2000, No? What operating system does it have?

If you do buy new, DON'T GET WINDOWS VISTA!!!!
Most of the programs that you would have aren't compatible with it.

i guess yes its like what gROUND cHUCK its about what you currently have, but also its how much you want to spend, if you have a good system and it works without hassle then maybe upgrade but if you want a fresh start then by a new one, currently im in debate whether or not to make the switch to mac.

Also i agree with the previous comment about windows vista, dont get it, it is by far a not a back ward compatitble system... more or less.
cheers
