I'd like to know a little more about the company including it's name. What inspired you to take this approach? Will this mark go with type, or does it stand alone?

Thanks for the comments already guys, i appreciate the feedback. She's in the field of public relations and has recently started freelancing. Her company name is her first and last name, for the reason of wanting people to remember her and not a company name, at least while she continues to to gather more big clients.

Her initials are J and M, so that's what they are, a J and an M. And the logo will stand alone.

The blue color was chosen to symbolize trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence. And the Orange color was chosen to convey creativity and determination as well as to highlight those parts of the design.

As for liking one or the other, they both appear on her business card. The front is all blue with the logo in white and orange, and then on the back here card is white with the logo in blue and orange.

My reasoning for the structure of the logo was for it to come accross as two bars in a bar graph or blocks or steps, which shows that public relations can build business.

Anymore questions jut let me know, and any more feedback is greatly appreciated.
-When i get a chance ill try to post her business card in this thread so you guys can see it.

Thanks!

Leave logos with initials to impersonal companies like AT&T. A freelancer can provide customized services. Give her name recognition with an image synonymous to her profession.

I think you can make a logo like a simbol and put her name together, i think is't important to show his name to recognise his job. That's my vision about that.

My thought is just that "J" and "M" aren't very obvious without a type solution that kind of helps you figure out what's going on. It looks great! I just wouldn't know how to refer to the business... (uh, that cool symbol with an "M"?)

I think it's nicely executed. But, I wouldn't know what the industry is or what the company does. Nice job, none-the-less.
