hey everyone....i made this template for a media company and they didnt like it much....thn i tried to show it to sume others but they weren't much excited either...this was my first ever template design and i have only done like 3 so far so i dodnt noe much about how i can improve this hard worked template??lol i spent like 5 hours making this and the guy says tht he's not looking for this kind of template....so i just wanna noe how i can impove this template in any way?any ideas?

Personally, I think the site is too dark and "futuristic".
I'm not sure what the company's main scope of business is, but I think the header should contain something that represents their work. Also, the header should have their logo, the text title isn't very representative.
So all in all, they're probably looking for something that will show the viewer what their company is about even before he/she reads any text.

the first thing i would do is get rid of the outer glows...
i would play with some fonts for the "new media services" ...
There is still lot you can improve
the best thing i like about the template is the Menu/Navigation. See how its crisp and clean but also stylish.
Don't worry, my first templates were like this too...
Try looking at some sites for inspiration

I like the buttons and the layout might work. But like previously mentioned, i'd have to agree with getting rid of the outer glows. Outer glows can tend to make a site look "dirty" rather than clean and sharp (especially if you're going for a futuristic feel) The text on the banner could use some re-work as well... too generic, and that's not what you're about. =)
Otherwise, good start, keep workin' on it and you'll get it!

It is too dark, maybe lighten it up with a brighter background color keeping the inside black. And try a new header, i'm not diggin the diagonal blue lines. However, I do like the buttons and overall layout. Good luck with it and keep us posted!
