To display PDFs in Joomla do the following:
1.Login to your Joomla website’s administrator page
2.Go to "Extensions" -> "Install/Uninstall". Click "Browse" and browse to the folder on where you have saved the “Enbed_pdf plug-in” installation .zip file. Click on the installation file and then "Open." Click "Upload and Install". When the plugin is installed you will get a success message.
3.Go to "Extensions" and select "Plugin Manager" . A list of all installed plug-ins will display. Find the Enbed_pdf plug-in, and click on it to edit the properties. Then click yes to enable the plugin and save.

4.Go to "Content" and choose "Article Manager". Click "New" and name the article. Then select a section and a category.
5. Run the plug-in from the article text itself using this syntax:
{pdf}PDFlocation/yourfilename.pdf{/pdf}
Then click "Save".

Thanks for this helpful hint. Sometimes there can be problems with the Enbed-pdf type plugins or they may not be available for the latest release of Joomla yet.

Another way to display PDFs is to embed Google Viewer PDFs with a simple embed code obtained from Google Viewer/Google Docs.

Thanks for letting me share. :)
