Hey
I have just launched my first portfolio, as I am fairly new to designing. That being said, it is very..blank.
But any suggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

hi, im new to designing too

i think that in your templates page, it will atract more attenion to your designs if the thumb of each site is only a shot of the site. Its better if you remove the windows XP start bar.

Also a hit back button will be nice, to help the user around when using your site.

I think u should make the bottom part of the menu buttons a little bit lighter because the text is kinda missing in that much dark, pretty cool though, keep on!

The text for the buttons is too hard to read (maybe take that stroke off) and the wires running between everthing should have there edges etc sharpened and cleaned up a little. The rollovers..... they just rollover to a flat color :( if your using Photoshop and Imageready all you have to do to preserve that highlighting etc on the button is duplicate that layer and on the second button layer Go to Image/Ajustments/Hue& Saturation and ajust it to that orange.
Sorry if I sound like i'm being Cocky I know i'm new but I need to post at least 3 crits before I post my Site (I will try to keep up on posting Crits on everybody I can)

Overall, I think it is too complicated, the fonts, the colors, gradients....don't ty to use too many bells and whistles.........its really hard to find your portfolio........you want potential clients to be able to find easily what they came there for.........let your images shine, now its a little cluttered......:)

I agree with Rinaldi. You need to consider your audience when making the design. Try to tie it up with your objectives. When the page opens, I thought I should click on the text to get to the page but it should be the green buttons underneath them. I did not immediately understand the connection between the text and the green buttons. Also there is too much space on the header....Goodluck! I know you can make it better in time.
