Hey guys. Wanted to show this flyer I made. Lil' bit of background, they hired a dj to do the design, and he bombed. Within hours of the deadline, they called me up to do the design. So i had to crunch out something and find a way to put all that material together. If I only had more time, the design would have had more polish, but when life gives you lemons....

The flyer is for a great cause (Katrina Victims) I did it free of charge and they decided to make me a sponsor (right up there with motorolla, redbull, and budweiser) wohoo. Channel 11 news and more media will be there as well as Marc Anthony.

Anyway enough of that, check it out and tell me what you think. Keep in mind it was a bit of a rush job. =) its a 4x6 flyer. Ps: if you're in the area swing by!!

It's pretty good I think. Especially for a last minute rush. I don't understand the concept behind using the hexegons, but as far as an interesting layout goes, it works good enough.

Thanks Exo, for the comments. The idea behind the hexagon was based on some light research I did (limited time)

IT's a freestyle flyer for a community that's keeping the early 90's freestyle music alive. (ex: crystal walters, laboosh, etc.) Back then, hexagons where used alot when designing cd covers, etc. (Ex: Mtv's NOW series, etc) I tried paying a little omage to that. But definately was just glad to have been part of something that has such a great cause. :D
