I'm new here and trying to figure everything out and follow all the rules. Here's my online portfolio to judge and rip apart and all that fun stuff. Have at it:) It's mostly stuff I did at a design firm, but there are some freelance things as well. I haven't updated it in months, so a lot of my more recent work is missing. It's also a lot of packaging.

If you wanted a logo/page you could have made this portfolio easily in flash.
It would have resulted in a smaller size site.
As for the portfolio seems good.
The background of the site is nice.
The first page has some tech look. That is nice too.
The overall felling is nice.

On the contrary, I don't recommend flash at all. It is not entirely usable and sites like google can not pick up any of the content. flash is not the solution to everything

You have a great portfolio. The images load super fast, and I love the hierarchy with the navigation. The way the contact tab pops out is also really great. Simple. Clean. Well layed out.

I also really like some of the packaging you have created :)

Man really cool art and I like the simplicity/sophistication of your portfolio since your content speaks for itself.

Personally I would suggest flash too, because I don't like to have lots of small images in the bars and everything. But is just a matter of taste. Good flash always enhances the content, bad flash is a rock in the way. The best suggestion is keep it simple and grow with it.

To embellish on what Will said, I think simple creative fades in flash would take this site to the next level. I think your logo's are good but your package design by far is your forte.

you're exactly right Neupix: "flash is not the solution to everything" but in certain cases like the feel of his website i think if he used it simply and in just the right aspects without to much glamour in it, it could work out really well. and saying that not everything will pick up the content such as google, thats not entirely true. running a background php script and other tricks can solve such problems. thats the great thing about the web, these days the limitations are few and far to come by.

Thanks for the feedback. I always wanted to do a flash version of the site, basically the same thing but in flash. But I never really found the time, nor do I really have any flash skills. But the main thing for me was to be able to get my portfolio to studios so I could interview with them. It's really more about showcasing my work than anything else. Course, if anyone wants to do a flash version for my, be my guest:D

There are tons of other things I'd like to get around to, like building a photography section or putting up digital sketchbooks. I can never really get around to doing these things though.

hi Neupix,
From what i know, Google can pickup information from SWF file.

Try searching google with anykeyword with "filetype:swf".
example: Use this in google:

design filetype:swf

and you will see all results of Flash files.
