Watermarking images is important if you don’t want anyone downloading your images from your website and using them without permission.
To watermwark and image using PSP 5, follow the below steps:
1. Open the image that you want to Watermark.
2. Add a new layer and place your specific text with either floating checked or unchecked.
3. If you use colored text, drop it on separate layer, then add a new layer for the cutout effect.
4. Apply filter: Cutout, Shadow Color: Black; Blur 4-5, Offset 2,2 and Opacity 100%.
5. Add another layer and then apply a drop shadow, Shadow Color: White, Blur 1, Opacity 100%, Offset 1,1.
6. You can play with the opacity on the text layer also the cutout and shadow layers until you are satisfied with how it looks.
7. Leave only the shadow layers and cutout layers selected and turn off the graphic layer .
8. Go to Layers->Merge - >Merge Visible.
9. Turn the graphic layer on again.
10. Click the Watermark layer and go to Image->Rotate, and uncheck "All Layers" and rotate the graphic 25 degrees left.
11. To keep the layers save your graphic as a psp file first and then save as a jpg.
