To create drop down menus in Adobe Fireworks Follow the below steps

.You first need to Create an image to use for your drop-down menu
.Go to Edit->Insert->slice and insert a slice to the image by. You will then see a bright green slice. Right click on it and click on the Add Pop-Up Menu
.Enter the name of the menu in the text filed under the content
.Click on the ‘+’ sign to add menu items
.Add as many menu items as you need and then click on Next when you are done.
.You will be redirected to the Appearance tab. In the appearance tab you can specify the font of the cells and color of the text. You can also choose either horizontal or vertical drop-down menu
.Click Next and You will be directed to the Advanced tab, from there you can specify the cell border color, padding, and shadow. Click Next when you are done here.
.In the position tab you are able to specify how you want the drop-down menu to appear. From the bottom right or bottom left of the slice or right from above it. Then click Done.
.Go to File->Preview in Browser to see how the drop down menu looks.
.Go to File ->export and select a location to store the files. Open the folder of your stored files and you will find a file called mm_menu.js . This file has the code for the drop-down menus.
