jecrt and I have teamed up to make a little side money for one of our hobbies to help pay for it. we will be working togeather to make logo/lable's for home brewers (beer, wine, soda, mead, etc) He'll take one or I'll take one or we'll work on one togeather.

So here is one of the first one's we've done for Sleeping Fox Ale House.
I came up with the drawing and he had a little more time to work on it and the style the person liked leaned more towards Jecrt's style than mine.

It's been great working with him on these projects and talking beer. :D

Here is the ruff drawing.

And here it is close to being finished lable.

another one we're working on at the moment. I'll probably do the vector on this but the collaberated efforts are realy paying off.
ignore the type it's just a place holder while I creat the vector.

These are really cool! The fairy dog is very interesting and so unique! It is soooo neat that you two are working together, could be an example here, that we are not always competing against each other. I love putting folks ideas in vector it just brings everything together so nice.

Congrats on your partnership and these two designs look great

Thanks and true most of us seem to be competing against each other but it's not a "cut through" enviroment. I've asked for font types that CH liked and other designers were more than happy to assist. ;)

The fairy dog "client" put that idea togeather cause his son like's dogs and his daughter likes fairies. But wanted it to be a tribal tattoo looking thing and masculine for himself, hinse the not so fairy wings. lol..

I love the concept, The Fairy Dog is awesome, but I have to agree the blue just does not jump out and blow me away. I would love to see it with a Golden to Brown blend

My two cents. Where did the name Sleeping Fox come from? The reason I ask is that, by naming it with a downer (sleep) that takes the fun out of the upper. In the NW of the US they have some micro brews with names like Trout Slayer and research has shown most brew drinkers fall in the category of wanting something that makes them feel, even with a drink of beer they accomplish something. Sorry if I missed a post or two, but these are like I said two cents if you have the ability to change the name.

Really like the Sleeping Fox. The post above remarked about the name. For me a sleeping
fox is ready to awake for anything that comes its way. Smile, how different we all perceive things.

It's in the first stages I still have some work to do. I just pull blue out of the air for no reason what so ever. I need a little work on the dog still and want to add a little depth with different colors on the wing, the dog and the tail.;)

Thanks for the suggestion I'll probably try to stay away from browns simply cause the bottles the labels will be used on will most likely be brown. I do like the golden color though.

Well I have no athority over the names just the images But I did help them narrow it down between sleepy fox or sleeping fox. I felt sleeping fox sounded better over all.
There are microbrews all over the world with odd names. I personally don't care for Trout Slayer though. sounds like they were trying to hard to name it. ? just my opinion though.
I also wouldn't say it was a downer but more of a relaxing name. Kick back and have a Sleeping fox ale. :D but it's not for a commercial brew just personal use.

I like sleeping fox.....I have seen several winery's with sleeping in the names.......doesn't the brew have to "sleep " for a bit before one can drink it?

Actually in a way it does. first it ferments thought and that's actually an active state. but if you put it in a secondary fermenter it still working but very little. then you let it set or age in bottles for a while.

The company I work with brews their own beer every Christmas as a team building kind of deal. Here's the label I came up with this year, thoughts?

Ahaha I love it. ( The BIRD Lager )

I think the fairy dog has a bit too much blue for my taste, but I am still beginning as far as graphics are concerned.
