I did my portfolio site awhile ago and right now I am in the process of updating it, I was looking for some feedback on how to improve the overall design. I am going to create more separate sections for the galleries as well as make it so each gallery is it's own flash movie instead of loading the whole flash movie in the beginning. I am not sure right now but I think the overall design will stay the same.

Its a cool design so far. I'm not particularly keen on the colours. Pink, yellow and brown isn't really my favourite combination.
the 'box' with the abstract edges looks like it could do with some sharpening too.
The flash seems good though, and its easy to navigate

I love your style.
I love the colors (except I'm not so keen on the brown bg).
Thanks! that was one of the areas I was thinking about changing, I think I'm going to use a gradient in the background possibly not sure yet though, maybe another pattern in a different color.

yikes man, took a little while (> 20 seconds) to load...cool layout graphics though.
one suggestion on your portfolio sections is to give the viewer more navigation options. right now all they get is a previous and next arrows. it's be much better if you list out the work via thumbnails or some type of list. once you get a sizable amount of stuff up there it'll be a loathe to sit and just hit a next button constantly to view everything. just my two cents atleast.

I agree with the navigation suggestion, I'm adding a ton of content and the scrolling navigation really won't work with that, I think a thumbnail system would be quite helpful. Also the loading issue will be resolved once I have separated the galleries into their own movieclips which will then be loaded when needed. Thank you for the suggestions cheers!

Artfully done so far.
A lot of character.
The color choices while a bit jarring work well in of themselves -the only question is whether you want the work in your portfolio to be the focus or if the emphasis is going to be on the site itself, because at this point you might find that they are vying for attention, one distracting from the other.
Another thought that you may already have planned is the ability to view your works in greater detail. Unlike a logo which conveys its message even at smaller sizes, some of your work is beautifully detailed (especially the print pieces) and the smaller scale doesn't do it justice. It would be nice to view them at closer to their original sizes.

Some pretty good elements there but I think making the background darker and solid would make the upper layers pop a bit more.
...And, again, the navigation is a bit small.
Are you hoping to completely change the overall look or just update your works?
