I like the third one the best.
Suggestions: Add a second colour. I also don't quite get the placement of the word "Orchards" it just seems to be floating off-center for some reason.

I like the #3 and #4. And I think I pull towards #4 out of those two. I picked those two because I think they would be the best legible candidates even if you'd scale them down to a business card size - which in my opinion #1 or #2 would suffer. Finally, I lean towards #4 instead of #3 because those lines around the mountain reminds me of lines used in comics (or similar places) that indicates surprise, or exclamation, shock, etc something rather. Or maybe the scream for "I STRUCK GOLD!"
So for me #4 is the winner. The mountains and the sun behind it, plus the green color goes with the name "Mountain Grove" which would imply something mountainous, fresh, nature made, blah blah etc stuff.

i agree that the third and fourth are the best out of these, but i think you could do a lot better. here's a suggestion my professor gave me: try printing out individual words (and perhaps the mountain symbol) in different sizes and fonts, cut them out, and shuffle them around. every time you see something interesting, sketch it, and then later you can try it out on the computer. sometimes working with your hands (instead of on a screen) can give you a new perspective!

I agree with Brandy. My teachers always told me to sketch on paper before starting up Illustrator or Photoshop. Sometimes it's hard, because you can check out all these cool fonts and effects on the computer, but it limits you as well... I believe that if you just sketch on paper, your mind will be more open.

The common concensus seems to be #4. I agree, but I think that #1 also has lots of potential (perhaps to be even better than 4). My suggestion would be to play around with it and see what you can come up with.
Otherwise #4 is my favorite of the ones you've currently displayed.

I like 3 best. The sun idea is nice but the position doesn't seem quite right.
The "Mountain Grove" font is too heavy and bold—it overpowers the other stuff. I think the logo would be better without the bottom line.
